The power cord on my DTS400EQ will not stayed locked in during operation.  I have used other tools cords and it is only on this sander I have the problem.  Any simple solution so I do not have to send it in for repair?

Welcome to the forum.

If you use a cord from another tool, will it stay connected?

Are you saying that it comes loose during operation?

And, lastly, you're sure that you're giving it a complete 1/4 turn to the locked position?

Let's see your answers and then I'll give some direction, which may include coordinating a call with our service department.

Sorry for the issue.

Try twisting it on a bit harder.  You'll feel it sort of click/lock into place.

I made this same mistake once.  [tongue]

When I was new to plug-it cords with my first Festool, the RO 150, I had this same problem. I also didn't turn it far enough.

Thanks to all who posted responses .  I have not been opialn line for the past two months due to some tune up surgery.  Went well and am back in the saddle.
After a few tests with other tools, this cord problem seems to be with this sander only.  And yes i do twist lock the cord into the tool but this one is sloppy and it falls out during use.

Give our service team a call and they can help with a replacement under warranty. Sorry for the trouble. Glad your on your way to recovery from the surgery.
