I have a 1 month old DTS 400 and the on off switch occasionally gets stuck in the on position. For a few seconds I can't turn it off. Pressing harder makes no difference, but pressing at a different angle makes it work again. I am using it everyday at the moment so don't want to send it away just yet. I thought off blasting some compressed air in the switch but probably best to ask festool to repair it.

I have the same problem, but it doesn't get stuck.  It is only very hard to turn it off.

The switch is self cleaning, I believe. I would recommend flipping the switch back and forth a dozen or so times while unplugged then try again. If that doesn't help, give the service department a call and they may be able to offer another solution or can assist with repair. If it's been less than 30 days, swap it with a new one with your dealer.

The switch is not the rocker (called a switching jack in the Ekat) you are activating. The switch is deeper in the machine and the rocker works the switch. There are detents on the rocker and posts (called cylinder pins in the Ekat) that maintain off or on. Spray a little furniture polish along side the rocker, this helps until the 2 pieces wear in.
