hello

With the tool Nut having the dust deputy on sale and picking up a new new shop vac from lowes ( black Friday deal) I'm wanting to build a nice cart for them. I will be using this set up for the Kapex mostly and the router table as the CT 36 will be for the MFT table. I do see this cart set up out on the web in many places. Just wondering if someone has something better. Thanks

Also does it matter how large of drum you use? Would like to go bigger that a 5 gallon bucket for when i use the 12 inch planner I have. Found a nice 14 gallon Plastic one with a locking lid. Will that affect the suction power ?

Its not a problem being on a bigger drum. I have mine on a 20 gallon drum, its works great. like rvieceli said just make sure side wall and top of drum are strong enough.

If you put a plastice trash bag in, use your vac to draw out the air between drum and bag.  I cup my hand against the drum sides and put the vac end in the hollow.  With a little practice you can get the bag to grip like yoga pants [wink]

Thank you for the how to on the bag install. Did you make a cart for the set up? would like to see it. I have a few ideas on how i want to make it. Also did you have to beef up the lid for the drum to support the dust deputy.

I did see a few peoples carts where the put the vac up high so the hose is short to the inlet of the cyclone. I did like that idea. With a 14 gallon drum it might put the vac kind of high in the air. Any thoughts on that? It might save on space that way.
