Have got a Makita lb1200f bandsaw.
It makes dust.
Not too much. But enough.

I naively assumed I could plug it into my Festool CT22 with an adapter hose.
I now learn there's a difference between a high pressure, low volume vacuum. And vice-versa.

In my local Southern African surrounds I have found the following, and would love anyone to offer advice if they've heard of any of them.
Prices (brackets) are in our local currency (ZAR):

Woodster DC 04. (2,000)
woodster

Martlet FM300 (3,000).
Martlet

Metabo SPA 1101 (4,000)
Metabo

Jet DC1300 (6,000)
Jet

The specs seem to vary widely between air volume moved (from 183 to 1800) and pressure (from 1300Pa to 2500Pa).
Hence the confusion.
I don't seem to have a try before I buy option; and will feel very annoyed if I pay money and it doesn't work.

My initial impressions are:
Woodster looks cheap. worried it's high pressure, low volume and won't work well with a bandsaw
Martlet seems to be the sweetspot in terms of spec and price. But don't like it. No idea why.
Metabo looks nice. And I like it. No idea why.
Jet looks great, but is the most expensive.

i have found that dc efficiency on a band saw is more about the design of the bandsaw than the extracter
i have 2  4" hoses going to my bandsaw  running the strongest extracter i can run with out  3 phase. im still mot getting all the dust. i have plans to rearange it and extract in the right spots.
i have seen  you tube videos of people creating a dc port around the blade as it comes down through the table. this approach seems to catch the most dust. there is one video that shows a big band saw being extracted by a shop vac and it gets most of the dust. the rest falls to the bottom and is sucked up later by swaping dc ports .
