OK guys I have an older model (Non-Hepa) Festool CT Midi that is officially on the fritz. It was given to me in extremely abused shape as compensation on a job, I cleaned her up and got some light use out of her next to my drill press, but now it's really dying... smoking, extremely loud (motor bearings must be shot.) Amazingly, it does still have full suction, so maybe someone brilliant can save this thing? Or make one of those cool YouTube reverse engineering videos?
I'd be happy to send it to someone who can use it, just message me. Not a requirement, but I'd appreciate it if you can send something in exchange.... I'd love a (broken!) Festool drill for it, or maybe some Centrotec drill bits, does not have to be full set. Local meet up in Los Angeles would be ideal so we can save on postage, but I'd be willing to pay to ship it if you can send me something cool.
