Recently I purchased a FSK250 rail that had been the dealers display model. Found it a bit sticky compared to my 420. After removing the dealers sticker and checking the saw cams there was little improvement. After a light spray of Selley's EazyGliude all is well.  [big grin]

There is a YouTube video about the HKC 55 posted by Donavans Homes.  You can see in this video a few instances where the FSK250 does not properly reset.  My thought was that he might not have the gib cams adjusted correctly.

With this thread, I wonder if the return spring in the FSK250 does not have enough force.  A lubricant applied to the guide rail reduces friction between it and the saw baseplate.  Now the return spring force is capable of consistently overcoming the friction force.

Interesting, I have the same issue with the 420 fsk rail.  i have just cleaned it and sprayed some crc on it, hopefully this will help lube it and get a smooth return happening.
I noticed the lined caution tape on the side is peeling off so think that has something to do with slowing the return as well.

CRC brake cleaner or something else?  Just curious.  I would probably reach for Ballistol or Lucas Oil CLP.

CRC is marketed here as a spray lubricant - an alternative to WD40.

Normal WD40 is an option but as a wet lubricant there might be issues with saw dust. There is however a WD40 dry lubricant now on the market down here too. But I have not used it.
