Edgebander

Hello all,
I’m hoping someone might have an answer or some guidance for this question -
We manufacture recording studio furniture and one of the products we make is a “kidney” shaped, split level Recording Desk. The material is 1” thick melamine, and the overall size is 30”x 60”. To date we’ve been using a commercial grade T-molding  type edge detail, and creating a “precision eyeball” butt joint, as it wraps around the full circumference of the piece, ending where it started...this has been working OK, but definitely limits our design/ color options.
Will the Festool edgebander allow us to do the full circumference ? A small amount of handwork would not be an issue if that was needed to insure the joint is tight & looks good...
Looking forward to your responses...

Yes, I dont do much radius work but the conturo should have no trouble handling that. If you get the kit the guillotine has an adjustable butt joint cutter too.

That shape is an easy one for the Conturo. As mentioned above, get the trimmer.

Yep

There is a minimum inside radius, (4" diameter or 2" radius )

Here is a good video showing how to do a circle and adjust the festool trimmer for a perfect joint.
