Hello,
I'm sort of embarrassed to ask but how do you remove the 12 mm bit from the systainer lid?  I just received my new DF 700 and I cannot figure out how it comes out of there without cutting something.  Now I now somebody got it in that slot from the factory.  Normally I don't ask and just do, but in this case I hate to make a mess out of the sustainer lid.  I've not seen this posted before so i guess I'm the only fool  that can't figure out that styrofoam without taking a knife to it.

thank you all

I have to pry mine out from the top portion (the non cutter end) with the supplied wrench nearly every time.  Im surprised I haven't made the mess you speak of, but its held up no issues.

Aclaw,

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.  As soon as you said pry that struck the note of how to get it out of there without damaging the styrofoam.  See, for once I did the right thing and asked someone.

Now to go play with the new tool.

Thank you once again.

Don't be embarrassed - when I got mine it took me about an hour to figure out that it was up there  [embarassed]

LOL, I found mine a little earlier but still havent figured out how to get it out.  I decided I'd wait until a 12mm project came up before I decided to reck the syrofoam.  Once again, FOG comes through, thx.

I still scratch my head for a couple of minutes when I try to change the cutter. I can never remember how to remove the fence assembly.

Commonman!!  On the 700 it is easypeasy !!

Now I can only remember when I put my wrench...

Cheers. Bryan.

Well now I don't feel so bad,  PRY was  the key word from Aclaw.  If he wouldn't have told me to PRY it out I might have gotten out the utility knife.  For some reason i was thinking the top had a stem  (male end) instead of the female end which it has.  Start from the top as mentioned and PRY it out.

thanks fellows.
