I picked up one of the new Festool ETS EC 125 brushless sanders. Unfortunately, the electronic circuits inside the ETS draw current even when not switched on. So as soon as I plugged it into my central cyclonic collecter for hand held tools, it triggered the operating relay for the system. It didn't matter if the sander was in the Vac-Attached cut out mode or not. At the dealer we tried it on a Festool dust extractor.  It worked fine. I called Festool service and was told it was an issue they were aware of. So just beware before purchasing if you use something other than a Festool extractor.

I have three older model Feins...with the variable suction control and all my new sanders work perfectly.  Sometimes progress... isn't really.  Still would not be problematic as I also have three ct's...Midi, 26, and ct sys.  I never miss a chance to suck [wink]
