ETS150/3 sanding disc

Dear Festool!
I've recently acquired abovementioned ROS and i wonder what the difference is between two sanding discs.
I'm refering to art.no 496150 and art.no. 498988. Both are meant for the ETS, both are hard, and they cost about the same.
Could you enlighten me as to their respective advantages/shortcomings?

The newer, Fusion-Tek, pad #498988 as replaced the other that you mention.

"Offering truer running performance for smoother surfaces, less vibration, and longer life, Fusion-Tec pads are the latest from Festool in high-performance sanding accessories, and will replace all 6” Multi-Jetstream Pads for the ETS 150/3 and ETS 150/5. The new Fusion-Tec pads are fully compatible with all current Festool 6” abrasives including Jetstream and Multi-Jetstream hole patterns."
