Sometimes, the knurled brass knobs on Veritas planes etc. need to be tighthened with a little more than hand pressure, so following the tutorial by berncarpenter on instagram and so as to avoid using pliers which mar the brass, I made this little leather wrench to fit my Veritas plough plane.

It works so well I may make another one to fit some other knobs.

It's a very well-explained tutorial so if anyone is experiencing this issue, check it out. It goes by the humorously sounding "nutsaver."

Thanks RL.
I checked out his Instagram thread and found a scabbard for a back saw he made and posted on woodhavenII.
I have put on my growing list of shop to do's.
