I have been restoring a 16 foot skiff made of cedar that the client requested glassing and painting once finished.  My research told me to use epoxy and 4 oz. fabric going 0 degrees and again at 90 degrees.  I have used Abatron products for several years and been happy with the results.  I was told to use their Epotron 5 for this project and it has made it much less daunting as this is my first big glassing job.  The 2 major benefits for me have been it uses a variable ratio of 2 parts A to 1-3 parts B depending on the desire for more flexiblity or more surface hardness.  The other benefit is there is virtually no odor!  I  am still doing the glassing outside , weather permitting.  Also it sands sands really nice with both granat and brilliant.

I've used Abatron as well and its awesome. Love that its pliable and have repaired a number window sills and casing with it.

how do you compare your product to system 3 or west?

I have not used either of those.  Another reason I chose epotron 5 was that I had their wood epoxy from another project and wanted to keep the product line consistent.
