I like you guys, but I'm not doing anything to help that idiotic trend of social networking BS!

Doesn't this count as some form of social networking?

Um. Yes. While I do participate on Facebook, mostly to stay connected to friends, it is a little ridiculous. The ads and general nonsense are tiring. But I regularly find folks I haven't seen in ages on there. Personally I wouldn't regard it as "idiotic". Merely a means to an end; which is certainly how many retailers view it.

Actually forums like this were amongst the first social networking sites.  Forums which are not focused - like we are (about Festool products and techniques, etc) - are on the decline.

We just keep growing!

That'a because this is one of the best groups of woodworkers on the web talking about one of the best companies that makes awesome tools!  I used to frequent several other sites, but I find that I spend 95% of my time here and rarely venture to the other sites.  Really appreciate all of the posts and information here.

peter you are wrong.. one of the first social networks was in the 1800  the telegraph, it just took forever to notify everybody what you had for breakfast that day... !!!

Friend of mine has an Axe-Fx - awesome bit of kit. I've spent several times over the cost of the Axe-Fx on Eventide, Boss, Line6 and other gear. Time for a clean out and a new toy soon I think!

Ever consider making your own valve amps? It on my roadmap ... One day  [sad]
I sold a refrigerator size rack full of effects and about 8 amp heads, put about 17 grand in the bank after buying the Axe ultra then sold that for the Axe fx II. I thought about building an amp but don't really have the time, space or need for one now.  The only amps I have are a Mesa Mk III and a Bogner 20th Anniversary Ecstacy in white with matching cab.

The rest of my money seems to be going towards new festools :D

Props on the Mesa - NICE! They're stupidly expensive down under.

I may follow your consolidation path ... makes good sense ... but you know how it is, you walk into a shop and there's a Kurt Cobain Jaguar lefty - you know how these stories end !
