If you have a farm and fleet near you I would go see what they have in the building still especially floor models as they are discontinuing festool.

I wish that were the case Jeff... [smile]

There are no Farm & Fleet stores in Minnesota, the closest one is 80 miles away in Rice Lake Wisconsin. There are a total of 16 of them in Wisconsin.  [eek]

[member=75217]squall_line[/member] may be interested though...there are 5 of them in Iowa.  [scratch chin]

I saw a 500 Domino, 1400 router, a 420 carvex and a few sanders.  I know the 1400 is only going to be found in the stores as the floor models are not counted for online sales.
I believe the Domino was 1019.00 for the Q set, not a huge saving but anything is better than nothing.

What's the big orange one just south of MSP where the 35s come back together?

I will fully admit I never knew Farm and Fleet ever carried Festool in the first place... [big grin] [big grin]

Are you thinking of Fleet Farm?

Farm & Fleet is renowned for selling Festool products.  [big grin]

Fleet Farm is renowned for selling Firearms to straw purchasers.  [tongue]

All 5 of them are between 50 and 75 minutes away, and as luck would have it I'm only on day 19 of 42-ish without a day off.  Busy time of year, though I'm not opposed to a small road trip and I'm sure my wife wouldn't mind me taking at least one of the kids out of the house for a while.

I always got Farm & Fleet mixed up with Theisen's, for some reason.  I think one of our Theisen's used to be a Farm & Fleet back in the day, maybe that's why?  Same color scheme, too.

I'm surprised Fleet Farm and Farm & Fleet are allowed to coexist with such similar names, but alas...

There are a few of them around here, one less than 5 miles away. They don't carry Festool there though.

Are you in Columbus OH area?  The last Farm and Fleet I remember was in Circleville OH and that one closed over 20 years ago.  It was just "Farm and Fleet", I do not know if that is the same as "Blain's Farm and Fleet" which was the Festool distributor.

Yes [member=72457]Yardbird[/member] Columbus, but it turns out I was mixing things up. I was thinking of a Tractor Supply (TSC)
It's been many years since I have been in a Farm & Fleet store.

As far as I know, the Circleville Farm & Fleet is gone and has been a long time, but they have a variant down that way somewhere called Rural-King. I have never been in one though.

Yes. I am thinking Fleet Farm.

When I was lay at Farm and Fleet Festool was 15% off and they wouldn't take any special orders. Only limited to what was on hand.

Ya I wasn’t too excited as everything was 15%…and I can get 20% and free shipping from Festool Recon every day of the week. Sometimes Festool even offers 25%.

Nope, was thinking of Farm AND Fleet- BUT, it shows how few times I've been in one, that I didn't poke around further to see what was for sale in the Whole Store... [scratch chin] [scratch chin]

They are doing that because they are dropping the brand. Festool would cut them off for discounting, but if they don't care, it doesn't matter. This is also why they won't take special orders. They are just clearing out the stock-on-hand.

No Farm and Fleets here, but with Recon only being 5% cheaper, I would rather pay an extra 5% for 2 years more warranty and knowing it was a new item.  I have purchased a lot from Recon and most have been quite good.  But I still remember that Midi I purchased and the wheels were locked up with drywall mud.  There was another problem with the Midi that allowed me to return it, but  you never know how badly it had been abused.
