I'm building a Yoga wall for my wife. It's basically some custom brackets, inset into a 3/4 sheet of plywood, hung on the wall. I screwed 4 rows of 2*4s to the wall where the sheets of ply will hang.

Since this wall will have a fair amount of load applied to it, in more than one direction, what kind/how many fasteners should I be using to hang the ply to the 2*4 grid?

for reference, at the bottom of the page you can see pictures of how the wall is actually used and the directions it is pulled in:

sounds pretty much like what i was planning on doing, for the plywood-to-grid, i'm thinking 12 #10 by sheet, 3 columns, 4 rows

I'd go with 3 columns, 7 rows, presuming 24" OC studs.  If you're using 16" OC studding (a better choice), go with 4 columns, 7 rows.  Be sure that the eyebolts are screwed into the grid, not just the sheeting.  Screws are cheap.  Accidents are far from it.  Just my opinion, YMMV...
