Well I’m pretty excited about this little combo kit. Ever since I ditched my Milwaukee oscillator for a Fein 350q I haven’t looked back. I love it and I don’t even mind the cord especially since the cord kicks on my Midi and helps me keep my job sites clean. But when I have just two cuts to make in baseboard getting out a cord can be kind of... a drag.
So I have had my eye on the cordless Fein. But at $199 for the kit I couldn’t quite justify it. But kicking around on eBay I found this brand new kit. I made an “offer” of $150 but was denied. So I bid the old fashioned way and to my absolute surprise I won the auction at $119. So the drill in the kit was more of a bonus. It has a detachable head which is great for drilling/driving in succession. Unfortunately the best head (90 degree) is NAINA except at an import cost of $150+.
Anyway. First impressions these both feel great and smooth. Battery slides on like a dream. If anyone is interested I will update as I use them over the next couple weeks.
First things first gotta get them moved to a systainer. This Fein case is actually super nice though. I wish the insert would fit in a sys but I’ll probably have to cut a new one.
