I am want to know about FESTO router bits, what are they made of HSS or Carbide tipped?

Are they any good?

What are they worth individually?

I am assuming FESTO router bits are early FESTOOL product before the company division and name change. Would this be correct??

Any info appreciated I tried google and got zip!

Depends on the model. Some smaller ones are made from HSS, but by far the most are made with carbide tips. HSS bits are mostly in one piece, carbide tipped bits have clearly different cutting edges welded on.

Very.

Depends on the model. Newprices here in Holland run from €45 for the smaller ones to €60 average and sometimes even €200+ for big bits with weird shapes. Of course, in Australia, Festool stuff is generally more expensive.

Yups. Well, not exactly early, because Festool exists like from 1925 or something, but earlier than Festool named stuff. The name change was in 2000.

I'm guessing these are HSS
