Not a bad idea. Looks like those are available from Lee Valley:http://www.leevalley.com/us/wood/page.aspx?p=68753&cat=1,43326,68749DB10 said:[member=58821]ben_r_[/member] This insert works quite well for MFT accessories, not sure of the part number as I bought it a couple of years ago from Festool Aus. This insert was also included in a special dark blue Sys 1 last year to mark 90 years of Festool.
This is a standard Tanos part. We keep them in stock (looks like we have the wrong picture here).http://www.ultimatetools.ca/products/tan-insert-vario2DB10 said:[member=58821]ben_r_[/member] This insert works quite well for MFT accessories, not sure of the part number as I bought it a couple of years ago from Festool Aus. Yea I know about those ones, but those are the ones that come with the SYS-MFT FX Clamping Systainer Set which we are looking for.Chris Wong said:This is a standard Tanos part. So they had the full SYS-MFT FX set in stock? Or just the insert we were looking for? And how much was it?Suarra said:Hey, all! Sorry for thread necromancy but I assumed keeping it in the same location would be a good idea.
I found that at least one Canadian store had 20+ of these still available but was unable to order it because of the Festool Dealer's agreement which apparently restricts them from selling Festool to other countries.
So... after some initial confusion or maybe unwillingness by some WoodCraft stores and corporate to search other store's stock (or maybe not trained to), WoodCraft of San Carlos was able to find some in stock for me at WoodCraft Seattle which sold me one over the phone!
Considering how helpful the Woodcraft of Seattle rep was, I wish I had them locally!
Seattle still has 10-15 in stock, if anyone's still searching.
