Festool 5m tape measure

Has anyone on the fog had any experience with the Festool 5M Tape measure.    I like the Fastcap true 32  but i was looking for something with autolock.  Tried to find a couple Hultafors talmeters but to no avail.  Northern California is not metric central.

You can find the Talmeter 3M on Amazon.  They're quite accurate and good to work with.

I'm not sure if that's the same as the little Festool one I have with a circle measuring attachment but I just found out after a long frustrating experience that mine is off by a millimetre. I normally use my Fastcap for mm measuring but it was re-located to my garage.

I would avoid the Festool 5m measure, it's an example of stuff they just print their name on and add a mark up.

And they are both only class 2 accuracy.

thanks Doug i will look into the Fisco.  I do have the fast cap but it its a combination metric/imperial and a pain to measure.  Appreciate all of the info guys.

The Fisco is available in metric or metric/imperial, afraid it's not auto-lock though, but the belt clip is fantastic.

Yeah, Fisco and Hultafors are part of the same group. I had the same tape in orange before they turned red.

In 1992 sola, fisco and hultafors did some kind of collaboration, later in 2008 fisco was bought by hultafors.
