Chris, click the link in my first post and it will tell you. The CMS will be covered but isn't listed. There is still an opening.

To expand on what Shane wrote, both Brian "The Sedge" Sedgeley in Lebanon, IN and Steve Bace in Henderson, NV have a curriculum for advance router, but they have wisely planned for time to expand on topics the class wants to explore.

At the time I took Advance Router in November 2010 there was no defined date for selling the CMS in North America. Certainly we never were shown the CMS during that class. In those days both Steve and The Sedge co-instructed. They go to a world-wide Festool Trainer meeting in Germany each year, so by then they had spent quality time with the CMS. I had used the CMS with OF2200 in the shop of a buddy in England when they first went on sale and just two weeks before that advance router class in the shop of a buddy in Denmark.

To me what was important in the class was being shown different applications for routers, like the OF1010 and MFK700 which I use daily. Some of those techniques I have been using routinely since learning them.

Even when you have been using a wide variety of routers for most of your life, it is wonderful to have the chance to try new uses in a place of instruction, where not getting it right the first few times is no problem. The Sedge and/or Steve are right there to keep everyone safe. The idea is all participants, trainers included, should end the class with the same number of fingers they had at the start of the class!

Still open. Any takers?

Shane,

Nothing would pleasure me more than participating in the class, which would motivate a road trip to Indiana in the Fall.

Bummer that I absolutely must remain in Los Angeles those dates.
