Hello all,

Inrecently bought two batteries, both 4,0 bluetooth enabled.

They’re called:
1. HighPower-battery
BP 18 Li 4,0 HPC-ASI

2. Festool-product
BP 18 LI 4,0 HPC-ASI BLE

Why are they named different - did i not buy two of the same type? What’s ”BLE”?

Edit:
And while on the topic; i took the time to add my drivers. Is the TID 18 supposed to look like a SYS3 since it got no bluetooth?

Best regards,

I was also annoyed by the product thumbnails for a lot of my devices. I get it, the original CXS has be replaced, but I can't help but think that Festool has a thumbnail of it laying around somewhere.

It was interesting trying to add the BS-75: "invalid product"

As for the batteries, I wish I could rename them so I could label each. I suppose the workaround of adding it again then clicking 'show' to get to it works, too. I have a newer one that I wanted to verify firmware version and see what it thinks its charge level is. Maybe not considered something you'd do often

Yeah, 100% they got a thumbnail in-house. I will try to add the batteries again and see what happens. Glad to hear i’m not alone, even though it bothers you too. I thought i had bought a copy for a second.

BLE = Bluetooth Low Energy, which is good for battery operated devices.

As an aside — The Bluetooth protocol goes through iterations and sometimes we receive updates for our devices. Long ago Apple updated their Bluetooth software to comply with the new BT specification. That broke the connection between the smartphones and the car radios. The radios were not upgraded to the same BT specification, thusly could not properly communicate.

But did you buy the car radio from Apple? No eh... so that is what they will blame.
