My new driveway is done.  Time to install the new basketball hoop.  Here is how I used some Festools to help with the install.

I installed the hoop by myself.  I have two nephews that live around the corner from me, so this hoop will see a lot of use.

Festools used:  A couple systainers,  CXS drill. Not shown, the C15 for connecting the two post together.

Time for some fun in the sun.  Next summer may consist of a in ground pool. That way I can play some hoops, then jump into some nice cool water.

Yeah, I noticed the footwear too, though I can't comment cause I hate 'steelies' too...

Cool Hoop! My wife is in the process of setting up a new Basketball Association here in Brisbane. (Australia). She has obtained a very nice sized set-up grant and has secured the use of a brand new (but under utilised) stadium... Three new indoor courts.... Final step is ratification by Basketball Australia which has given tacit approval... but should be finalised in the next couple of weeks. All very exciting because one of our premium football clubs is also setting up a 'centre of excellence' right around the corner....

Actually my 15yo son (6'5" and size 16 shoes) will be travelling to the US in December on an invitational basketball tour with his Rep Team and will be doing a month long tour of 4-5 states, playing as they go.... Last year one of the other boys on this same tour was offered a full US college scholarship.... That would be nice....

Aaaah to be young again...

just be aware I have deadly 3 point range !

and for the Crocs I don't think they are my style.  I have a pair but don't wear them often.

If that was my driveway I would have set it back a lot further ... you should see my wife reverse [scared]

Lets see you slam dunk!

You ask, you shall receive.  I was playing some hoops today.  Grabbed the camera to show off some skills  [eek]

Just so you guys know, the hoop is set at 9 foot 6 inches.  I'm not as young as I used to be.  15 years ago I could throw down on a 10 foot

hoop, but a bad knee, bad ankle and bad back  keeps me a little more grounded.  All old sports related injuries.
