Festool boom arm part question

Hi just bought a boom arm for my ct26 (492700) unfortunately the handle was missing from my package, whilst the retailer has said they will order me in the handle I found another tech drawing of the boom arm online. 

Comparing it to mine there is an additional piece (items 14-15)
can anyone tell me what this is for, and is it a  critical component?

These items don't appear on my drawing and as I haven't / can't install the boom arm yet (as I have no handle) am worried that there is another piece missing.

Is this a part of the handle assembly?

That is a spacer/stabilizer that goes between the CT and the handle.  It is a piece of bent steel with rubber bumbers and a couple screws.

The part number you have given is for the CT 22 and CT 33 and you mentioned you have a CT 26. The part number for the equivalent item on a CT 26 is 496468. Perhaps that's the difference in parts you are seeing?

The Supplemental Manual for CT-Series extractors covers the installation of the boom arm for both old and new style extractors, including when parts are needed and when they are not.

Thanks, the boom arm was advertised as for the ct26.  Does anyone know if the support bracket is part of the handle assembly?  And is it an essential?  I've just checked a spares catalogue and it comes in at almost £100!!!

It may have been advertised as for the CT 26 but if the part number you gave is correct, it was advertised incorrectly. Perhaps you could get your dealer to check? Below you'll find the screen shots from the Festool UK web site. I've circled the part numbers and models supported for your information so that you can discuss it with them.

CT26 uses a different kit that includes the handle. Your retailer should be able to get it sorted.
