Hi,
I bought a CMS-GE with the old CMS-OF 1400/2000 and a OF-1400 just the other day from a fellow Festool fan.
However, this module came with the “old” wheel height adjuster, which is operated from under the table. And to me this seem like sort of an afterthought, it is cumbersome at least [huh]
I know the new table has another lift, which operates with a handle above the table. The old table has strengthening profiles on the underside, and will therefore require cutout and drilling new holes to accommodate the new lift, or the need to buy a new table..
Question is, are there some of you that have done this, or have tried both versions? Is the new lift a lot better?
Are the tables similar (router diameter hole for instance? - the hole looks a bit wider on the new table..)
