Hi guys

Own a lot of festool tools and this one is an absolute blinder.

The festool conturo edge bander. Used it once for a job and was amazing
Combined with the ofk.

I’ve just finished the job though and have a few issues.

1) glue residue in the outlet rock hard and round rollers. Any solutions to keep this clean?
2) depth adjuster for the banding only now increases or decreases enough to take my 22mm banding. I’m probably missing something mega simple but I can’t loosen it down to take anything bigger now and don’t want to force it.
3) is the little base that comes in the trimming pack a banding holder? I’d appreciate any help I can get,
Mainly on the cleaning and the depth adjuster. Cheers

For the depth adjuster, remember that the Conturo needs to be completely up to operating temperature, you risk damaging the tool if you try to adjust at room temperature.

As for cleaning up the rollers, I just let the unit col down, then I can usually just pick the rollers clean with my finger nails. If you're getting a lot of excess glue on the rollers you may need to adjust the amount of glue the tool is dispensing.

Yes, that black circle which ships with the accessory set is intended for holding longer lengths of edge banding. It's important to note that you still need to pre-cut the banding prior to loading it into the holder. In other words, you can't just load 200' of banding into it, you still need to cut the banding to length, load it in the holder, apply, then cut another piece to length, load, etc...

I hope this helps.....
