Hi all,
I'll be building my own sysports next week and I wanted to share my preparations on my Woodworking blog
There's some fun calculating in my first blog entry!
Feel free to comment and advice me!
Have fun!
Dany

Would you like to share your excel sheet, the metric isn't problem i'm dutch [smile]

Brilliant work !! For sure the Excel spreadsheet will be much appreciated by many of us !

Very very good must have taken ages. Your blog made it all look so easy!
1 quick question, would the module combination [05000] also be 902.5?
Now if a jig could be made to give a 52.5mm hole spacing in a lr32 style then you would have the ultimate in adjustable sysports
Great work. very much looking forward to seeing some pics of hour completed ports

Very nice.

Spreadsheet in Numbers, metric and dutch... Somehow a combination I prefer  ;D

Hello all,

Sorry for the late reply but I was in France last week and unable to comment.
First of all, here's a link to the calc sheet: http://woodworking.archemedia.eu/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/Archief.zip
I've added the numbers and the excel versions. Feel free to experiment with it. I didn't test the excel version yet (I just exported it from numbers).
You should only alter the 'variables' sheet and the fields which are in red.

So last week I actually made my first sysport. Unfortunately, I forgot to make photo's but I will on easter :)
I just had time to testfit a 42111 drawer combination but the modules fitted perfectly! Every module had the same gap above which gave the sysport a professional look.
I'm now making a drawing to visualize the concepts of the spreadsheet.

Hi Jak147,
A [05000] combination holds 5 systainer 2. This is indeed a combination that I forgot! It fits!
Your suggestion for a jig is great but it can't be a jig with just 52,5 hole spacing.
If you look at the drill scheme in the spreadsheet, you'll notice that not all holes are multiples of 52,5. It all depends on your module height, which depends on the thickness of the drawer bases and the supporting drawer slide.

oooh wow, this is awesome of you to provide us with your hard work, saves me so much time and I know I would not have been so detailed and thorough as you've been. This will be a big help when I finally end up making my own sys port.

How about some pictures? Or did I miss them?
