I’m a serious hobbyist that has a decent collection of green tools that I take good care of. I still know they are just tools but was so excited I got the OK to purchase a new Domino 500. When I checked it out everything looked great except for a small dent in the base plate. I Could see a small wrinkle in the blue protective film and when I pealed it off dog gone it there wasn’t a small dent. I know it has no affect on the function but...suck it up or see if Festool will replace it?

You already know the answer if it bothers you enough to open a thread about it although it will probably not affect the results when working with it. ;)

So yeah, go ahead and see if Festool will exchange the plate. Which they will, I guess.

I'm pedantic with the condition and cleanliness of my tools, I too wouldn't accept that on a newly purchased tool. If I can account for it, because it just had to be, it's another story though.

Kind regards,
Oliver

I would exchange it. Besides, if it took enough of a hit to make that dent, it may have tweaked  things enough to affect the accuracy.
