So I have been using a Makita 18v set for drilling out locks and the like and all my batteries have died
So instead of replacing the three batteries was looking to replace the drill I recently bought a csx and love it so recommend me a drill that is light and strong cheers
Mark

I assume your pointing to a Festool drill?

These are a few models I can recommend:
- T15/18 probably the most versatile drills on the market, especially with the extra chucks. These are light weight and well balanced and these days they come with a LED light and 4,2A batteries. Old stock comes with 3A batteries.
- DRC 18 former Protool and more sturdier model, high speed drilling (3,800 rpm) is special. Little heavy but also well balanced. Only right angle chuck available. Only 18V-4,2A version.
- PDC 18 same specs as the DRC except that it's also meant for (light) hammer drilling in masonry or concrete.

Depending on the kind of work hope you can make your choice.

Toolfest has some nice offerings at the latest DRC/PDC models. As far as I know the cheapest in the whole of Europe.

Are you adding on the VAT to Toolfests price?

John...

Prices incl. VAT for the PDC 18/4 Plus version are:

- Festool UK €604 (£512)
- Festool Holland €587
- Festool Germany €577
- Gerschwitz Germany €501
- Non Paint Store Holland €496
- Axminster €460
- Slingers €445
- Toolfest €423 (£359)

So that's 28% cheaper then in Holland.
You are so lucky with these shops in the UK.
They probably try to increase their revenue by offering lower prices.
With these prices I'm tempting to buy a Festool PDC in the UK.
Don't know if it might have to do something with the exchage rate between €-£?

DRC plus £379 Axminster, £406 Toolfest
DRC set  £459 Axminster, £496 Toolfest
