Festool DTS 400 EQ

Hi,

I had done some research on a new sander, and bought a new DTS400 EQ.  When I got home and looked in the systainer there was no edge protector.  Upon further online review I now realized the DTS400 REQ is the newest model.  Although it is not on the Festool Canada website. 

I am not thrilled with the idea of spending money on a product that has been updated (apparently 25% more power and a brushless motor ?). 

Is the DTS 400 REQ available ?

Yes it is available.  Most dealers stock it.  Some might still have inventory of the earlier model.

I always buy Festool product from Ultimatetools, great service. If you are not resident of B.C., only pay 5% tax instead of 13%.

Return it and get the newer model.  It seems like a gimmick, but that edge protector is really nice to have.

In addition to the edge guard and additional power, the DTS 400 REQ also has an improved switch and new locking dust port.

i've just bought a dts400, if you'd lived in the u.k., you get it in the set, not to rub it in

I returned my DTS 400 EQ for the REQ.  All is right in the world.

But where is the dust collector ?

It is not in the box ?
