I read a reply from Peter Parfitt about the "Festool fan" sticker, have any professional  Festool users placed one on their work truck/van or whatever you work out of ? My truck just get broken in a few weeks ago ( in my own yard, no less), so I can only think that it would happen more often with that sticker in place. I am sure that most smart crooks the value of these tools, and we in NA do not get the same protection from Festool as other place do. Thanks B

I have a number of the sticker around my shop, but they will never go on my truck. I don't want to advertise to tool wise thieves.

I keep my Festools out of site and locked up at all times.  I would never put that sticker on a vehicle as that is like asking thieves to break in and see what they might find.

I agree why advertise what you have.  My brother-in-law has a glock sticker on his window on his car and he has had his car broken in twice.  Sorta crazy to break into someones car that you know they own a gun.

Aren't stickers a school bag, skateboard thing? I can't imagine why anyone would put anything on their vehicle other than their own advertising.

A builder neighbour of mine left he's small terrier in the truck while he got a take out coffee thieves left the tools but stole the dog ! Fact. Not sure about a sticker beware of the dog !!

I'm in the 'no stickers' camp with a couple of exceptions. I have a small off-road park sticker and also a Red Cross Volunteer sticker on the windshield lower corner. Nothing on the bumpers, no license plate surrounds, etc.

My vehicles are also either white, black, or pewter in color. Nothing that shouts 'look at me'.

I put a "Festool Fan" sticker on my girlfriend's Honda Civic...she's not very happy.  But it's been over a month and it's still on there  [big grin]
