just finished this mantel and will post pics other thread.  but thought I would show off festools new level !

go to festool how to thread and there is the thread talking about the planer and the rustic head with pic.  it worked great.

believe it or not.  yesterday I had to level this bookcase unit i was building and put the level up the side and it was hard to read the bubble,  the room was not that well light and I thought wait a minute there  is a light on this level.... turned it on and wow I could see the bubble very well with the light on !  I was pleased.  yep another tool with a light really helps.

Don't forget, the LED units (2 per level - 1 each for horizontal & vertical vials) come out of the level so they can be used as small flashlights also. Kreg is showing the Festool 48" version of Stabila's "The Lights" set, which includes a 48" & a 24".

The difference in the Festool green 4' lighted level and the regular Stabila 4' lighted level is that the Festool has a continuous frame on the vial side, where the Stabila has an opening at the vial (better for marking). The Festool also has engraved graduations that begin in the center and go outward. The regular Stabila version is smooth.

I just got mine with my last purchase, the MFT/3. As I get older I think the light will be a great feature. Stabilia is the only level I use anyway, from the torpedo to the 6' 6".
