Good Morning-
I am a brand new member to FOG and had a question I can hopefully get answered.  I recently purchased a new Kapex 120.  I am now looking into a base for it.  Will the new MW1000 hold the Kapex on top?  Thank you for your help!

The MW1000 itself will be too small, you won't be able to fasten the Kapex on it. The TSB/1-MW 1000 attached to the MW 1000 would be big enough, but height would be on the too high side.

I suggest to get the UG cart and wings.

The MFT/3 Mini is also an option. It's 4" shorter than the MFT and it weighs less.

I believe that Cheese is referring to MFT Kapex. It is a very nice, compact and easy to move MFT in a smaller compact form. It is as mentioned lower than all other MFT tables to accommodate the Kapex 120/88/60 to remain the same height on the saws base towards accessories like wings, MFT/3, MW1000 and so forth. I have one myself, but not used with my Kapex yet as it for me doubles as a table I can easily set up outside for other work that makes a lot of dust or needing freedom of movement. You will have a very stable table for the saw, and you get a versatile work table for other use.
As it seems, Festool is now soon (April) offering this as a kit over here with the UG wings instead of the old crown stops and KA-KS wings:

Assume it is in the length direction that it is too short.  Having said that...a couple of quiestions:

1. couldn't you just attach a larger board to the top to give you the length?
2. can the top be lowered, so you can bring the saw down to the level of the mft/kapex?
3. will it support the weight of the kapex without tipping or the shelf sliding down?

I have an MFT/3 and MFT/Kapex, but the mw1000 set might be a replacement if I can address the kapex support/height issue.

Top shelf of the MW1000 is fixed - and it's the same height as the MFT/3.  But it does flex a bit since the primary support is along the back of that unit.  The unit normally ships with the side extension which can be attached to the MFT/3 or CMS.  I added an extra drawer pull-out to mine as well as putting  a Sys-AZ on the bottom so I have three pull-outs on the MW1000.  It usually stays in my shop but I like the mobility and ability to collapse it.  I mostly use it as an outfield table with my Sawstop Jobsite Pro saw which works really well.

You could put a 3/4 top on it with dogs to attach.  The base tower alone is too small for attaching the Kapex, however.

Thanks...curious on the sys-az...I have two extra from a 5 pack...will they work as is or do you need some special connectors to install on the mw1000.  It looks like the drawer that comes with it is different.
