I recently sent away my well-used 14 year old Kapex as part of the recall. In addition to the recall work I asked the Festool service centre to recalibrate the saw - work I was happy to pay for. I received the saw back 3 weeks' later. In addition to the recall works the saw was completely overhauled to include the following: new mitre and bevel scales, new mitre lock, new bevel lock, part of the aluminium fence, new blade insert, broken blade guard mechanism replaced, broken rubber dust collector replaced and broken cable winder replaced.
The total cost for the non-recall work was a grand total of £0.00. What brilliant service! So I just want to say a big Thank You to the Festool service team for their work. I've used Festool for years, and never regretted the money I've spent.
