The batteries at that price have me debating between buying a TSC55/HKC55 set (with two Airstream batts and chargers) or buying a basic TSC55/HKC55, two of those discounted batteries, and an Airstream charger (one for now). I just don't know what the better route is, if those Airstream batteries are that much better for my usage. I have a TS55 for my shop.
I'd be breaking down some sheet goods at the point of purchase to fit them in my SUV (one to two cuts per board). 50' of cuts at the absolute most at one time. I think the price difference between the two routes would be $180 at the cost of the upgraded batteries and another charger.
Or I suppose I could buy two batteries as backups for a future purchase.
I have all 5.2Ah batteries, and for my use, for which cordless is a luxury and not a necessity, they are more than sufficient. If I needed maximal efficiency all day on a job site, then I'd go for the bigger newer batteries. But IMHO the 5.2 are a steal at these sale prices. I guess the only reason not to go for them would be if you were into the whole BT thing and wanted the new BT batteries...personally I'm still ok using a remote.
