Hi all,

I purchased the mft sp clamps a few days ago and the first time I used them the clamp bar marked and has left very small dents in the bar. Now they don't slide smoothly and catch on the little dents. Its really annoying and considering the cost of these clamps I'm thinking about taking them back.

Has anyone else found this?

Yes, and as you've experienced, after a while they can start to catch and not slide smoothly.  Some gentle filing of the ridges left by the indentations took care of the problem for me.

Same for me as well.

Ok not just me then.

Yes I did think of doing that but, filing some brand new rather expensive clamps to get them to work smoothly...

In addition to the comments posted, it you look under the clamping lever you will see a hex allen bolt.  That is used to control clamping pressure.  You can adjust that and it might help out in the future.

If my memory is wrong on the location look and you will find one.
