I feel like a priest trying to convert the heathen! (Pardon the crude metaphor)
The carpenters whom I work with, both those that work for me and on sites around me were very skeptical when I started bringing around the Green tools about six months ago
"what are those cheap plastics boxes?" "800.00$! For a skill saw what an idiot!"
"I don't need a track to cut a straight line!" Yeah u do actually!
This slowly has turned 180 degrees. The carpenters who work for me now wonder how we did what we do without our green tools. (Eg. Ten foot mitred corners on floor to ceiling rift sawn oak ply columns). Our organization, precision and cleanliness have all improved. I have to admit I'm getting good value ftom my investment so far. The true test will be to see how it  stands up to six day weeks in the trenches. (So far so good, fingers crossed) But I'm rambling. Anyway.....
Its left some of our colleagues "green with envy"

To borrow an expression from the high tech industry, you are a Festool Evangelist.

If you choose to be lease holy about it, you can also now say "I told you so."

Good for you!  If you manage to keep them from getting stolen  :(, you will still be using most of those tools on the job site ten years from now.  I bought several of my Festool tools more than ten years ago, they have been hauled all over the country (countries actually) since then, and those that I didn't sell to upgrade, are still in use.  :)

By the way, I sold every used Festool for between 80% and 100% of what I paid for it.  ;D

Hey Nigel

Had same response here. Not so many laughing now!
Once you go green, everyone knows you've been  [thumbs up]

Just gotta love it

I really like this place.
Even though it's not really a place....
You know what I mean.

A familiar story  [big grin] and just for Ron.............Amen!

I'll give you an amen!  As someone who drives around one truck with Festool license plates and a smaller one with Festo license plates and Festool decals in the windows of the truck caps, I do get inquiries from time to time in parking lots.

I actually have met a couple forum members this way.

It will take time to educate the masses.  Hold your position and be strong!  LOL.
