Are Festool N. American and European models of cordless tools identical? Obviously the charger is different, but the tool itself and the battery. I'm wondering about interchangeability in case I purchase something overseas.

Although the part numbers of the drills itself do differ on the EKAT USA-EU.
I can't think of any differences besides the charger.

If you want to be sure just ask Festool or do a comparison with the EKAT USA-EU.

Part number changes are because of labeling usually. Sometimes for scope of delivery.

You'll have no warranty, but the tool will operate using a US charger and batteries from wherever.

The obvious difference would be 110v versus 230v on the charger, but one would hope that the tool would be the same.
