Festool Parallel guide system

Hi All,

Could someone please tell me what the difference is between the FS-PA-VL 650mm Guide rail Parallel side template extension And the Festool FS-PA 650MM Guide rail parallel side template.
looking at the photos they both look the same but there is a $150.00 difference in price.
looking for something that will make ripping 60mm X 2400mm strips from a 2400mm X 1200mm sheets easier and quicker?

They work together.  The parallel guide is used to cut strips that are wider than the guide rail and the good piece is to the left as you cut.  The extension is for pieces narrower than the guide rail and the good pieces are to the right.

I had a look on YouTube but couldn't anybody showing the difference but your explanation helps from what you have said to do strips of 60mm I would need to use both.
