Festool PLANEX Drywall Sander and CT AutoClean Videos

It looked like there's a vacuum control right on the Planex. Does that require the CT AutoClean?

Will this be the March sweepstakes prize?

The vacuum control does not require the CT AutoClean, but other models of CT Dust Extractors cannot keep up with the quantities of dust produced by the PLANEX. Hence, the need for an automatic filter cleaning mechanism (AutoClean). The control on the Planex basically  restricts air flow from the CT AC as needed. At the right setting, the PLANEX will virtually hold itself to the wall or ceiling, supporting its own weight.

Not sure what the March sweeps prize will be yet.

Shane, thanks for the video links.  Those are some of the best Festool videos yet and you guys kept the Euro music instead of the cheesy US guitar rock!  Wooh!  Awesome videos, great rundown of the product.

And finally a video/picture with a close up of the second outlet port in the current CTL36 Planex VAC!

I've been wondering what sort of a meter (looks like a voltage meter to me) is attached to the Planex version of the CT36...
Turns out it's a funny shaped sticker telling that here you can attach the additional outlet accessory [doh]

I'm not sure that any dealers have mentioned this, but participating dealers can offer a CT AC + Planex package deal with $75 savings on the bundle (USD).
