Festool replaces dead out of warranty 18v 5.2ah for discharge issue

Hi all,

I didn't know where else to post this.

After finding two bat pacs dead after 8 weeks of non-use.

I reached out to Festool Vic.

Even though the pacs were out of warranty.
They were happy to replace them since this one has discharge issues.

Regrettably, The 5.2 is no longer stocked. 
But will be replaced with same capacity 5ah Bluetooth model.

Hopefully anyone has the same issue will qualify with the same result.

Such problems can be caused by all kinds of issues ... I would expect Festool service to check the logs of the packs and consider post-warranty coverage if they

1) see the packs were not abused
and (unlikely or)
2) identify some problem with the packs not related to age/usage

So to anyone reading, do not rely on this.
