About a week ago I had to send my Kapex in for some issues it was having with it's motor.  As you can imagine, I was none to happy to have to box it up, send it, and use a Makita slider for a week on my job.  I got a phone call from Festool repair on the day the post office told me that it should arrive to Festool.  They said it needed a new aramature??? and that it would be on it's way back the next day.  Amazing!  To my surprise upon opening the box, my saw was like brand new.  New blade guard, bevel assembly, power cord, as I had put a new plug on about a month back, new dust chute and clip, new throat plates, even a new sticker where my laser adjustment holes were.  I am completelty blown away by this level of service and for anyone who has balked at Festool's pricing, hopefully this will serve as an example of what the value of a Festool truly is. 
 
This is definitely not the exception, but the rule. Our guys in the service department are great. I have seen sanders that look like they went through you-know-where and back when they come in and look brand new when they go out.

I agree 100%.  I had my Kapex repaired and when they wheeled it out to me, it looked brand new, well except that the blood stains were still on it. [big grin]

I don't want to sound all ass kissy, but they really do have the best customer service I have ever experienced. 
 
Yep -- Festool's Customer Service is the best -- they always go above and beyond to handle any question or issue.  It's not like you need them all that often, but knowing that they are there for those times you do is nice!

I went through the service BOSCH - now I do not want to know such a tool!
but my MAKITA, DE WALT and two DOMINO is not broke!
There are some parts that are worn on the grinding machine Makita but I have several at once, while the other part is I use.
ps . and at the same time, I have friends from the garage to expect from Festool sanders repair 3 weeks .. She came back and they sent it in for repair!
maybe it depends on people ..
