Festool Rotex for Concrete Polishing

That style of painting look similar on a job I was on. They was in this room for like 1 week just 4 walls painting it like 6 coats the smell was very strange.  It look amazing in real life properly not the same as whats on this video but it looked similar. When it was finished you wanted to touch it because it looked like it was uneven surface but it felt really smooth and it kinda look like fabric it was strange. Bet it wasnt cheap!!!

Very annoying music.  Wonder if they would come here to Colorado to put in some walls [unsure]

I just came across this group while searching for some info on a Festool tool I was given.  It is a concrete buffer/polisher?...older and with no manual.  Looks like the one in the posted video.  I have no idea how to use this.  I am looking to use it for finishing concrete slabs that will be used as table tops.

Could anyone direct me on where to find a manual or maybe the basics on how to use? Thanks in advance for any help:)

Hi vlaz, welcome to the forum.

We can tell you everything you need to know about your machine if you post the type number here. It's on the information sticker on your tool.

in taking a closer look at the information sticker...it says "Festo" and the plug has two round prongs??  Could this be some kind of a knock-off?  'imaginarynumber', It does look similar to the one in the picture from the link you posted.  Perhaps the manual would help?

I appreciate all of the help.  This tool is becoming a real mystery?  Maybe I should simply buy a new tool :)

No knock-off - Festo is what Festool was called, up until 1999/2000.

There is a product called armourcoat that loos like a fabric. but is shiney and looks bumpy but like a mirror to touch. its applied like plaster. I saw it done in a penthouse i did some work on in London, it looked really nice but really pricey to.
