Festool Service constantly amazes me. A month ago I called the service department to get some parts for my Kapex purchased in June of 2008. After explaining why & what I need, it was suggested I send my Kapex in for general service. I stated I had no shipping container, "no problem we'll send you one, but we are currently out of stock." Two weeks later the shipping boxes arrive with instructions on proper packing. I loaded up the Kapex & took it to UPS for shipment. $89 to ship on Monday. Thursday I receive a call form Lester. I would have to pay $121 to replace several parts, swivel lever, dust-extraction attachment, buffer, right & left pistol stocks & a scale. They also replace at no cost; 2 stops, the lower frame, 2 table inserts, the turn table lever, a roller set, & spring plate. No charge to ship back to me. No labor charge.
For a saw out of warranty my cost was $210 or 16% of my original purchase price.
This was my third experience with Festool Service.
Thank you to Lester and all at Festool Service for all you do to make these the best tools I have ever owned. You cannot afford not to own Festool.
