Nasty Baby is a recent indy movie -- the most prominent actor in the cast is Kristen Wiig, formerly of Saturday Night Live.

I liked it, though I imagine it's not a movie everyone will enjoy -- it seems sort of listless and meandering for the first half, but then takes quite a "Nasty" turn mid way through.  It's a very New York movie, and so some of the scenes are funny only if you are familiar with life in the city.

Anyway, one of the main characters is a carpenter, and there are two moments when Festool makes an appearance.  The first is in the background when we see the character in his shop.  The second is more prominent, when on his birthday he unwraps a package to find a brand new systainer -- though we don't see what's inside.

Product placement

Missed a trick at the end of Se7en then.

No tool product placement, intentional or accidental, can compare to the Hilti infomercial that starts off the fourth season of "The Wire."

A great series and the Hilti bit certainly gets the message over....
This is one of the series that I watch when travelling. along with 'Dexter' - now there is an opening for a power tool manufacturer [eek]

I watched Nasty Baby this evening, and had completely forgotten about this thread.  My wife is probably sick of hearing me comment on cabinets in TV and movies (Nasty Baby features a set of really bad ones with OSB doors), but it is rare when she has to put up with me talking about the vacuum cleaner hoses in the background.

"F---ing Festool, that's the BEST!" was probably my second favorite line of the movie, behind "Scoot safely!"  It looked like the present was in a SYS-4, which could be a TS.  The scene with the CT hose had a router, but only the bottom of the base was visible, so I couldn't tell which router.  Maybe he received a 2200 to complement a 1400.  This was not the greatest movie, having some serious problems with pacing, but the use of natural light throughout reminded me a lot of the Dogma 95 rules.
