Hi, just bought one of these in the Uk, didn't check it open it up etc until I got home.

A bit disappointed to find that the drawers do not have the small inserts to divide up the drawers into smaller compartments.  Having called the dealer they said it doesn't come with them.....so I either have three large compartments or have to buy the storage boxes to dived up into small compartments.

Can anyone confirm pls

Many thanks

I bought one in the US and a second one from Amazon.de.  Both were like yours....no small dividers, just the long dividers that divide each drawer into 3 long compartments.

Take a look at my "Festool Workplace Organisation and Storage" thread and videos and you will get the info you need. The larger dividers come with the set of little box inserts. They have a part number and I seem to remember that you can buy a set of 10 for about £10 in the UK.

I was a little disappointed to when I bough the ones I bought. But, after watching Peters video the light came on and I bought 2 of the kits he mentions in his video.

Honestly don't haven't used them yet as my stuff is packed up waiting to ship home. I do have the same boxes he has including the cantilevered tool box.
It just makes sense to add these boxes to those sortainers and tool box.

Though I would of liked festool to add them to the sortainer as part of the purchase.

With the price of these melded plastic boxes a few small boxes shouldn't matter that much.

I really like the drawers of the 4SORT3 and the combi systainers, and the way the box setup (as opposed to dividers) allows you to easily transfer containers between compatible storage devices (as of now, 4SORT3, combi 2 and 3, and the cantilevered toolbox).

Yes, it is extremely annoying that these cost as much as they do, upon which you must pay even more to add the level of organization that appears to be standard in the marketing photos.  I think advertising should make it clear that each drawer only comes with two dividers/3 spaces, and that you will be adding approximately $80 (USD) to the cost of the unit if you want to kit out each drawer as shown in photos.  The real cost of the SORT4/3 as shown/implied in photos is $240 (in the US).
