Festool TS55=Awesome

Cut down 59 bi-close closet doors today with hardware install. The reason for 59 is that the laborers couldn't keep up stocking the units, and we were short a slab. What an awesome machine, cuts like nothing I have ever used before, went from the hardware store to cutting in a 1/2 hour. The reduction in steps/set up is mind blowing. No more, measure-straight edge-clamp-clamp-score 2x-cut- remove clamp-clamp set aside all the crap-and repeat, NOW...measure-line up-CUT!...DONE!

Congrats on your new track & saw, you will be able to cut perfectly accurate cuts now, great for creating a "straight edge" on a bit of timber that has a slight bow on the edge to be used as a reference edge. Check out all the blades as well I am cutting doubler sided laminate panels with no chip out all in a garage workshop without a hiccup. Making kitchen for my daughter and cutting all the panels out myself perfectly.

The TS 75 does the same only handles thinker better due to more power and extra depth, the TS55 is great for sheet boards or trim cuts on doors.

Enjoy and the rest of the Festool is just as good in there own right

Hey Seth,

I'm doing a apartment remodel for a builder, here in Boulder. Building cap has been in place, so no new building residential, SO good for the trades, tons of work, And way easier now with the TS55. I don't even want to think the time I spent on the last 16 units with my Makita Hyphoid drive, clamps and so ....Smoking through closet slabs is so much fun.

Congrats on the new saw.  I just got me a 55 and midi combo a week or so ago.  Trimming bi-fold doors is on the agenda this weekend for me as well.

Just received my ts 55 and MFT3 .WOW !!! so pleased with it . And so easy to assemble.

I recently bought a TS55 REQ plus and its a serious bit of kit.
I may well be wrong (its possible) but out of the festool range I see it as the biggest gamechanger they have.
Its changed the way I work in the space of a couple of months. Does a lot more than just the fast and accurate cutting up of sheet goods. Looking at their extractors/shop vacs now.

I have a Mafell and it is simply the superb.

I think a track saw from any of the reputable tool manufacturers is an absolute game changer over a standard circular saw and straight edge. IMHO it's one of the best investments you can ever make in wood working tools, for anyone from the occasional home wood worker and up, it's bordering on idiotic not to own one, they're really that good!
