Kinda like norms old show and David marrks show, but using festool products for different projects. I bet it would be benefitual to everyone, us learning new techniques and the com[any b/c tools sales would go through the roof when folks can see the actual benefits of the system.

Lets see it would be a hard decision….

lets see Al, Debbie, Al , Debbie..hmm tough decsion, but I might go with Debbie Al's flanel would get old but Debbie in bibs…..never:>D

seriously there isnt a real good wood working/ home repair show on TV anymore.

I wasnt a Norm fan towards the end, He was just selling tools. But early on He actually was teaching and showing different techniques useing different manufacturers tools.
TOH has turned into a product showcase.

The new woodworking show I see on PBS on Sat. is plain boring and dry and very slllllooooooowwwwww,

theres nothing really out there anymore.

I think the time is right for something like festool to showcase their products instruct folks on set ups and applications which can be endless….

But thats just me..

Maybe get Brice to host it…..

He seems like a well spoken knowledgable charasmatic person

Kreg had the right idea with his built in series. No if something that was scripted, professionally produced, more indebth, I think He'd have something there.

Just a example...

I think you have me mistaken for someone else. [tongue] Maybe Paul Marcel.

Brice is past his prime. JMB hosting might be a good choice as we can all spend an extra half an hour looking at the person next to us trying to figure out what the heck he was talking about.  [tongue]

Got it figured out. Brice is the straight man and Paul would be the comedic sidekick.
As to Heidi's replacement, Minnie? Not sure what Shane would look like it a skirt.  [eek]

As soon as I saw the title of this thread, Paul Marcel lept to mind.  A show with him as the host would be great.  Maybe some of us could be guests on Paul's show.  I would like to be on the show where we test beverage containers.

Looking at Paul's vids I'd think he'd be a great show host. And I vote for Cameron Diaz or Jessia Alba as sidekick, no Debbie something something .....

Great suggestion! I remember YEARS ago with the "Shop Smith" system, they had a series on tv. It was a woodworking show, but used all their products and attachments.

Unfortunately I've seen Shane in a skirt, it wasn't pretty. [tongue]

I am sure there is an interesting story behind that. Perhaps you can tell it to the class this week!  [big grin]

No interesting story behind it at all, Shane just likes to wear a skirt to work the first Friday of the month.  You know what means right? [big grin]

Not really [sad]. Us rubes in the midwest are kind of lost at things like that. But, I will be there on the 1st Friday so we will see if he follows through  [eek]

Wow, I got off to an arts festival and come back to find that I might host a show with Cameron Diaz and Jessica Alba.  Winning!  er, Score!  Shane could wear a skirt on a special episode around Whuppity Scoorie.  I think the episode before that one would be the drinking one with Frank; it would be necessary... Paul, I just got word Cameron and Jessica declined but Rosie O'Donnell is very close to signing the contract. [thumbs up]

I should stop picking on Shane, he's such a good sport about it he deserves a break.

Lol, not winning!

I think Red Green would be a great host!  "Ah, this little clampy thingy goes in the... well I'm not quite sure what this does.."

Kreg would be a good choice too. But the music would have to go :>D

Could you imagine what his intro music would be

John Cougar, Bruce Springsteen hehehehehe

But with Kreg  thing the lady helper would be Charlies maid on 3 and a half men hehehehehe

close your eyes and picture  those 2 hosting a show together

I was waiting for the festival in which the virgins are sacrificed, that is if any can be found...

Just So, imagine:

"All FESTOOL, All The Time" Certainly FOG many members who could be the star and chief demonstrator. Others could be the loyal sidekick.

Personally I would nominate the displaced "Hometime" sidekick Robin Hartl who did her best to keep a straight face next to Dean Johnson from 1993 until 2005.

The current "Hometime" gal is younger and as attractive, Miriam Johnson (no relation to Dean Johnson)

#17 Sancho57, that is Conchata Ferrell who plays "Berta" Charlie's housekeeper. Currently she is available.

#2 Ken Nagrod, it was Richard Karn who played "Al Borland" on "Home Improvements"

The original "Tool Girl" "Lisa" was played by Pamela Anderson on all the first season and additional shows, a total of 38

Woodcraft, a Festool dealer, sponsors the series "Rough Cut: Woodworking With Tommy Mac" MacDonald. Some PBS stations carry it. It was part of a DIY 2 hour block on KOCE, PBS SoCal along with Hometime, Ask This Old House and This Old House. Then in March that became a 1 hour DIY block with just Ask TOH and TOH.  Tommy MacDonald is younger than Norm. He rotates sidekicks, Tommy only uses tools sold by Woodcraft.

How about "Tag Team FESTOOL Shop Time" starring Steve Bace and Brain Sedgeley who could tour North America in a white van with Festool logos closely followed by an 18-wheeler filled with the contents of the Henderson Training Center, including the cork floor? They would set up in various venues, like Antiques Roadshow. People would sign up for classes, which would be covered by several Hi-Def digital cameras, controlled from a production truck which follows the 18-wheeler.  With Brian S and Steve B there would be no need for a writing staff.

Tag Team FESTOOL Shop Time would help satisfy the dreams of many FOGGERS to bring training classes to many locations and to also provide video recorded classes for TV, cable and streaming.

Think FESTOOL and forget the "Bimford 3000"!
