Just got my MFT this week and have used it to assemble two family projects which had stalled without itπ.

First was a broken cutting board that my parents have used since I was 4 years old.

I used my ts55 to cut along the broken seams.

Used the mft to glue against the dead flat surface.  There is a cutting board in there somewhere.
[attachthumb=3]
Routed the entire edge with a tiny round-over and decided the easiest way to clean up the finger recess was to rout a little deeper.

The mft made sanding a breeze

A little oil to season and a new cutting board...

Makes me want to attempt my own from scratch.

welcome to the fog big galoot.
glad you like the mft. it really is a great part of the system

Let's see if this works.  My original reply would not post...

The second project was a new picture frame for a painting which the folks received from my grandparents.

I used some oak crown from the orange big box store, some 3/4 oak, and 3/4 oak plywood.

Got everything cut to size.

Clamped and glued the back and side rails.  Dadoed the length of each and then inserted a spline.

[attachthumb=3]
Attached the modified crown molding and was ready to cut on the my new UG stand.

MFT for flat on the glue up.

Picture fits. Still need to sand a finish.

Isn't it really great when someone can take a tool and use it to make projects right away?  I can feel your enthusiasm thru your posts.  Great job on posting images!

And WELCOME to the FOG!

Peter

Hi,

Welcome to the FOG !  [smile]

Great for clamping isn't it ?

Seth

Thanks for the welcome gentlemen.

The clamping possibilities are amazing... the fact that is is a true flat surface is even better (better than anything else I have ever assembled upon)... and the squared-up grid really sold me (via Paul Marcel's videos).

Qwas dogs are scheduled to arrive tomorrow, and I'm pretty stoked.
