I have so many cordless drills, but during the last refurb sale, I decided I wanna go green with a drill as well.  I have not used the drill once yet, so I plugged in the charger yesterday, and neither battery will charge, the charger just blinks red.  Can someone offer advice, im sure it's under warranty, but theres no way both batteries are bad.  And yes the batteries were both room temp.  Any advice would be great.  Thanks.  Sam

Yup, call the service number.  Seems like a charger problem.

The only time I've ever needed Festool service under a warranty was for the charger...twice!  Prob a bad charger. They were awesome about sending me a new charger ASAP!

I wanna say a big THANK YOU to Steve in tech support.  He was able to totally help me out and solve my issue.  This is why I use festool tools. There customer support is 2nd to none.  Absolutely none.  Thanks alot Steve...    Sam

Honestly, I would rather not say. All I'm gonna say is, I'm 100000% happy with how he handled my situation.

Before doing anything, and I know this sounds like I don't think you know what you're doing, but remove the battery and slide it on again. Make sure you have it fully slid on. It can sometimes feel like there's a little resistance when the contacts first engage, but push down on it until it's fully seated.

If that doesn't do it, the reconditioned tools have a one year warranty as I recall. So, give service a buzz or send me your contact info and I'll have someone get in touch with you.

EDIT: Oops, just read that you talked to Steve in repair. That's what I get for skipping over all of the replies. Doh.  [embarassed]

Shane,
I did indeed try that a few times. There's something wrong with the charger for sure. I'm thrilled with my experience today, as I am every time I plug in a festool.

No prob.  I was just curious.

No operator error here. I actually never used the charger. Ever.  He did a few things for me that he didn't have to do, and that is the reason I will always support festool. And only use there products.  Great job tech service.  Sam
