Hi,

Has anyone had any experience using the LAMINATE/HPL HW 254x2,4x30 TF80 L blade for the TKS80?

Looking to get a blade with a flat tooth to make box joints, rabbets and dado's without the need for chisel cleanup after cutting.

The image on the blade shows that the chamfered tooth sits 0.3mm above the flat tooth, which would mean a slight indent at the corners. Keen to know if anyone has the blade.

Festool UK said that it produces a completely flat cut, but would like to hear some real world opinion.

Thanks all, much appreciated.

I have this blade for my CS70. It is very well suited for cuts in laminate, but less for cuts in plain wood. The more difficult the cut in wood you're trying to make, the quicker it will fail. I don't see very flat dado cuts with this blade in normal wood. I use the standard blade for those things and the result is pretty good. Not 100% flat, but only minimal sanding needed to get it flat.

Thank you for your reply. That's what I though, so was surprised when the guy at Festool UK said that it did produce a flat cut and would work for dado's etc.

Thanks again for your time. Much appreciated.
